The League of Women Voters of Greater Omaha will hold our annual meeting from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 14 at the Field Club of Omaha, 3615 Woolworth Ave.
The annual meeting is a celebration of the past year’s accomplishments as well as an opportunity to look ahead. Meeting activities will include votes to approve new bylaws and the incoming leadership board. There will also be a keynote speaker discussing Women in Public Policy as well as a light breakfast and buffet luncheon with vegetarian options.
The annual meeting is open to all, though only LWVGO members may vote.
To attend, fill out the registration form below by no later than Tuesday, April 3. Cost of attendance is $30. You can pay via the form below or by cash or check at the event, though we strongly encourage registration by the deadline, regardless of payment.

Dr. Jodi Benenson, Assistant Professor, School of Public Administration University of Nebraska-Omaha, will talk about UNO’s inaugural “Women and Public Policy Week” held earlier this month.
“Women and Public Policy Week” brought together the voices and expertise of UNO faculty, staff, students, community partners–including the League of Women Voters– and policymakers to discuss issues related to women and public policy across the city, state, nation and world.
Benenson’s primary research interests include social policy, nonprofit organizations, civic engagement, and inequality. Previously, she was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Jonathan M. Tisch College of Civic Life at Tufts University. At Tufts, she worked on several projects in the areas of youth civic engagement, political learning and engagement in higher education, and national service and employment. Prior to returning to graduate school, Benenson worked in the nonprofit sector in the Twin Cities.She received a B.S. and M.P.A. from Indiana University and a Ph.D. in social policy from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University.
