Action Alert: Support LB 996, Being Debated Feb. 18

LB 996 will be debated on the floor of the Unicameral on Tuesday, Feb. 18.  League of Women Voters supports this bill introduced by Senator Tom Brandt.  LB 996 will boost rural broadband internet in Nebraska communities which currently have slow or no internet.

Please call your state senator at 402-471-2311 and ask for your senator’s office.  As their constituent, ask them to support LB 996 and provide reliable fast internet to all Nebraskans.  School children should not have to drive to McDonald’s to get the internet they need to do homework and employees should not have to use their workplace internet to take care of necessary personal business.

Let’s help our neighbors with the federal funding to cover the digital divide!
