BOOK CLUBS
LWVGO has two book clubs open to members and the community to elicit discussion on a variety of topics.
Books After Dark
Books After Dark is a monthly online book club open to all and dedicated to bringing together a community who are interested in exploring social issues and history through reading.
The group meets the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm via Zoom. Reserve your spot!
The group is led by Aimée Folker, co-chair of the League of Women Voters of Nebraska’s DEIJA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Justice Systems, Accessibility) committee.
The Next Chapter Books and Gifts at 2508 Farnam Street in Omaha is offering attendees a 10% discount for all of LWVGO book club selections!
Great Decisions Book Club
Great Decisions is a discussion group based on eight readings from the non-partisan Foreign Policy Association. Its strengths lie in tying together many individual news items into a cohesive whole, raising in-depth questions, then encouraging each person to decide the best policy.
The club meets weekly on Tuesday afternoons starting in January.
