Join us for our next book club meeting on Saturday, December 7, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Abrahams branch (5111 North 90th Street) of the Omaha Public Library. The book is Men Have Called Her Crazy by Anna Marie Tendler. Food and drinks will be provided!

Join us in a discussion of Anna Marie Tendler’s evocative memoir. Tendler, an American multimedia artist known for her work in photography, makeup, hairstyling, and textile crafts, chronicles her experience of choosing to check into a psychiatric hospital in 2021. In a tender and naked way, the artist looks inward and explores the behavior patterns that exacerbated her mental illness. Co-director of LWVNE’s Disability and Behavioral Health Action Team, Aimée Folker facilitates our frank discussion on mental illness, psychiatric crisis, and what it takes to come back to believing in yourself.
