Dine & Discuss on Nov. 25: The 1619 Project

This month we’re bringing the “Discuss” to Dine & Discuss. Please join us for a community dinner to discuss the New York Times 1619 Project

“The 1619 Project is a major initiative from The New York Times observing the 400th anniversary of the beginning of American slavery. It aims to re-frame the country’s history, understanding 1619 as our true founding, and placing the consequences of slavery and the contributions of black Americans at the very center of the story we tell ourselves.” -NYTimes

We encourage members to read the articles from The New York Times Magazine, and or listen to the podcasts available on the NYTimes website. Thank you to all who signed up to bring food, we will send reminders out to everyone who signed up to bring something to share and we will have some questions prepared. We are so excited to have a community discussion!
