The League of Women Voters of Nebraska’s annual Legislative Day takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20. All-day tickets are $30; lunch-only tickets are $20; morning-only tickets are $10. Tickets are open to anyone interested in participating. Visit www.lwv-ne.org to register.
Legislative Day activities include talks on the legislative process and legislative priorities; a Unicameral tour; and a luncheon at the Governor’s Mansion. The featured luncheon speaker will be State Sen. Burke Harr (Omaha/LD 8), who will talk about nonpartisan redistricting and its importance. The morning sessions will feature talks by State Sens. Tony Vargas of Omaha, Justin Wayne of Omaha and Sue Crawford of Bellevue.
