Join us on Monday, November 18, at 4:00 p.m. for a special tour of The Omaha Star Newspaper, hosted for LWVGO members and guests. Founded in 1938 by Mildred D. Brown, Nebraska’s oldest African-American newspaper has been led by four other publishers before its current publisher, Terri D. Sanders.
During the tour, Terri will share the rich history of The Omaha Star, highlight the contributions of its past publishers, and discuss the newspaper’s future. She will also provide insights into the development of Omaha Star Park, set to open during Native Omaha Days in 2025. In addition to her role as publisher, Terri serves as the executive director of the Mildred D. Brown Memorial Study.
Please RSVP your attendance.
